The presence of world ministers at the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) will help speed up the negotiations on the strategy to follow in the fight against climate change, but it will not become a parallel summit, said President of the Conference and Mexico's Foreign Affairs Secretary, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano.

To mark the start of Green Solutions Forum @ COP16, the inaugural panels The Outlook of Global Leaders on the adoption of business solutions based on climate change and The view of Global Leaders were held in the Fiesta Americana Hotel, involving public officials and business leaders, promoters of this event.

Mexican President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa on Sunday formally opened events at the Green Solutions exhibition, a four-day convention that will showcase entrepreneurial projects in climate change mitigation that focus on trade, investment and technology development.

As part of the conferences of the exhibition Green Solutions @ COP16, the Funding Climate Change panel included the participation of international actors who expressed their position on the resources needed to finance climate change impacts.
